Live Mode allows users to make edits to the website with the website right in front of them. This is different from standard editing which takes you to a control panel to make edits to your site. Through a series of familiar icons, users can navigate to the page they want to edit, click the edit button, and see their changes instantly rather than having to manage multiple browser tabs. Perfect for those quick text changes and sensible to even the most novice computer user.
In Live Mode, Compass adds a toolbar to the top of your website that makes editing easier.
Although the Compass interface is easy to use, Compass live mode has simplified website management to a new extreme. Just log in, navigate to the page you want to edit, and click the edit button. Your changes will be displayed on the screen right in front of you. There is no learning curve because live mode is so sensible - go to the page you want to edit and edit it there. It typically takes less than 1-2 minutes to show a new user how to make edits using live mode.
Have a few blocks stacked in the sidebar? In Live Mode, Compass will identify blocks and allow you to drag them around the screen to new positions. This feature is especially useful for those tough layout decisions that require moving items around to see what works best.
